About Sayyidah Zaynab

Lady Sayyidah Zeinab is the daughter of Imam Ali bin Abi Taleb (AS) and Sayyidah Fatima al-Zahraa, the daughter of Prophet Mohammad (PBUT)

Her brothers: Masters of the Youth of Paradise Imam Hassan and Hussein (AS)
Her husband: Abdullah bin Ja`far ibn Abi Talib (AS)
Her sons: Ali, Aoun, Abbas, Mohammed, Umm Kulthum.

Her life

She was born in the holy city of al-Medina in the sixth year of the Prophet's Hijra on the 5th of Jumada al-Oula, and died on the 15th of Rajab of the 62nd Hijri year. She was buried in Damascus, Syria.

Titles and education

She was known by the following titles: al-Hawraa, The Mother of calamities, The Lady of the House of Abi Taleb and the Chaste. She received her education from her mother, the Lady of the World's Women, Sayyidah Fatima al-Zahraa, who was one of the Muslim female worshippers.

Karbalaa's hero

Sayyidah Zeinab al-Hawraa was an icon for patience and integrity, especially for what she had witnessed during the battle of Karbala in the 61st Hijri year, during and after the martyrdom of her brother Imam Hussein (AS). She was the witness of the uprising of the Prophet's grandson, and the carrier of this uprising's flag, raising it under the sun and making it timeless despite ages.
